Awesome! I was considering switching to another resort, but maybe I'll keep it. 16 points a night was a pretty good deal, and I think Rafael will like the savannas and community hall.
That's awesome that you got a club level room! That's still on my bucket list.
Has anyone heard much about how the refurb at Kidani has been going? Do we think we are at the point where you are pretty much guaranteed a refurbed room if the remaining old rooms are taken out of inventory, considering the anticipated completion is May 2026?
Yes, I've gone from MK via monorail and cut through EPCOT to get to BWV back when my son was still in an infant car seat that attached to our stroller--it was worth it to avoid disassembling that and carrying the carseat to board the bus on my own!
From VGF, at least you can take the monorail back from MK and Epcot without collapsing the stroller, so your kids can stay asleep. Actually, the walking path is a good way to go too if you're returning from MK with a stroller.
As much as I love BWV for so many other reasons, those balcony chairs are among the worst! I don't have a bad back, but those chairs are so uncomfortable, which is a shame when there are some awesome Boardwalk View rooms to enjoy.
That's a good one! They definitely get shuffled around quite a bit.
I'll kick things off with something that I just ran into yesterday, so that no one else makes the same silly mistake. We all know that Crescent Lake doesn't have the best quick service options, so when my son wanted chicken and French fries while we were at BWV, BoardWalk Deli, Beach Club Marketplace, and the Market at
Thanks, Derek! Didn't get to run in the end, but I'm looking forward to the Wine & Dine 5k as my next one. At least I got to enjoy a little time at BWV!
I really hope there will be news soon! Wandering around there today made me realize just how empty the side of the boardwalk area feels without the gallery, Big River Grille, and Jelly Rolls.
I liked the Princess Half because of the cooler weather, but yes, it's hard to decide without knowing the themes.
I went for dinner and thought it was a cute experience, but I'm not exactly running back. I recall liking the prime rib, saffron-lemon butter salmon, and warm chocolate cake. However, I remember that Paul, Amy, Jeff, and Panda went at a more crowded time and didn't exactly have a great experience when it came to the bu
Yes, I moved down! I wanted to be a DVC snowbird back in the day, but life took an unexpected turn. Being near the beach and within driving distance of Disney sounds like the best of both worlds!
The limit does not exist! jk. For me, it comes down to dues, and January really makes me reconsider any add-on-itis lol. Even when I'm tempted to add on more points for quick stays as a local, do I really want to pay more annual dues? As for your last question, pretty much the only deal Disney could offer that would ma
I'm now a local but was originally from NY (raised on LI and lived in Queens up until recently) and became a DVC Member when I was still there. There are so many flights to MCO from NY and FL that it was always easy to travel, and having DVC points made that even easier! I still travel between the two states pretty oft
It's so subjective whether the direct perks are worth it or not (I'm a hybrid member myself), but the price difference is still huge, even with the flash sale on BLT points.
Bell Services can help with that! Just make sure you take the essentials for the day with you since it sometimes takes until early evening to get your stuff at the next resort.
