Before we retired it was one trip a year. Now we have a lot more flexibility. We usually do 2 weeks at WDW and 5 to 7 at DLR. The ToT at VDH is a real killer for longer stays. I really hope so. As others have stated, the DVC side of the Boardwalk is dead dead dead and has been for quite sometime. However Disney is pretty stingy with news and plans. Sad really.
We thought the same thing as well. Long expensive plane ride! That's why we bought enough points for 2 week stays in a 1 bedroom. Have not been to a D23. Crowds, Heat, Not my thing. However, maybe one day.. Next trip is October to WDW for MNSSHP then April 2027 to DLR with the grandkids.

+1 as well. We have always rented a car and agree, it is well worth the expense. Using DVC as a home base for other side trips is priceless. It has become a family tradition to visit GatorLand every trip. Not to mention the trips to the grocery store or to Steak-N-Shake. (We do not have Steak-N-Shake around us). Freedo

We do the Sorcerer pass. Very worth it for us. Besides the possible cost savings, it gives us real flexibility. We dont have to worry about park hopping or if we have enough days left on a ticket. We just go. We also pay with points. I know not the best use of points, but it works for us as we always seem to have a few
Expanded Monorail that actually runs. The Monorail really needs some love. It does not run most afternoons in the heat. It is ragged around the edges. Expand the loop, update the trains. Add a stop in the new addition.

Same! We do split stays 1 week at BLT and 1 week at BWV. Walk to all parks but AK! We sometimes change it up a bit with AKV.
