Unpopular DVC Opinions
If our contract doesn't get purchased by Disney then we plan on staying at SSR for the extra days we want to add to our trip. We probably won't do it this time but the kids want to stay at the Treehouse Villas.

I definitely wish I had committed sooner but we are blessed that we can afford to purchase points and get those years in now (96/pt sounds better than the 195/pt we averaged out to). Unfortunately, I cannot answer that one accurately. We purchased direct @ Poly last year so the incentives for Add-On were existing. From what I was told, you had to wait till the next promotional cycle but I cannot confirm. It's a pretty substantial difference between first time and add-on. 200 points is 9/pt off and

When we purchased direct, we received 11 or 14 dollars off per point @ Poly (235/pt base cost) and now it would be up to 21 dollars off per point for a similar sized contract (243/pt base cost).

I bet - they're 243/point right now direct for the current resorts so this one seems like it would be higher. Everything has some sort of savings but do you think they'd give price cuts right away?

I'm looking to stay in the 200 range. There was a 215 pointer with 94 left in 2025 that we almost pulled the trigger on. There was a BIG 450-470 that had been on the market for a while and was trying to justify it but it sold (probably a good thing! lol)

I just set up an alert for Copper Creek so we'll keep an eye on that one! A SSR contract came up that we put an offer in late yesterday and now putting a deposit! It had points for 2025 that we could use to extend our October Trip and some banked points to try to add in the December trip. That'll take care of our walk

Yesterday, I almost put an offer on a Copper Creek that had some 2025 points left but the site it was being sold at sent up a warning that the seller wouldn't take less than a 1/

Thank you - the idea of SAP is making more sense now. We do want to go to different resorts but we can do split stays to capture some of those (like Boardwalk) if we really want. If we do a non-Poly contract then that's used for extra nights or quick / less planned trips (like this new December option).
