If you follow @airjay75 's advice (which I wholeheartedly agree with) and end up with a resale SSR contract, then your pricing changes to member pricing which can actually be quite the difference.
You should visit both Riviera and Poly this trip and see if either calls to you. As @airjay75 said, Riviera will almost certainly be sold out by the time LSL starts selling but Poly will still be there. Do keep in mind Riviera expires in 2070 so there's already 5 years "missing" on the contract, same for Poly in 2066.
None of the member benefits mean much to me, but I will say that we've made use of a bunch of them, including Moonlight Magic, which are super fun if you can get in. Completely understand, as I get older it gets hard to ride the "thrill" rides, although Soarin isn't that "thrilling", it can be on a "bad" day. But I, too will ride Soarin Over America!

The fireworks certainly will be hectic, but being in the middle of the 360 degree fireworks at MK is an experience! Totally understand though, we usually avoid them for the same reasons.
Noticed something, it appears that these rooms that face the existing Fort Wilderness Trail's End Restaurant and Hoop-Dee-Doo (the building you can see in the bottom right of this image) do not have balconies. I'm sure these won't be the DVC side and will be the hotel side as I would be any DVC room would have a balcon
