Lakeshore Lodge (Future) Owners Thread

True, but those properties are all “similar” and will track the same kind of buyer for either one. The kind of buyer that wants to buy and stay at Lakeshore Lodge isn’t the same kind of buyer that wants to stay at a cabin in the woods, in my opinion. I just don’t see them combining to somewhat different types of proper

OKW v SSR

We’ve only stayed in the one bedrooms of each, in fact, just staying at Saratoga this past weekend for the first time. We all agree that we prefer OKW way more, especially in the one bedrooms where the size difference is absolutely noticeable. Like you, we do wish OKW had elevators in every building and had multiple en

OKW Refurbishment

We primarily stay in the one bedrooms due to our family size and I really want to see the Murphy beds and the one bedrooms as well. I’m not sure how possible to be given the window arrangement in the one bedrooms, but they have to figure out a way to get rid of the pullout couches. The other biggest change has to be th

Membership Minimums

That’s exactly what we did just a few months ago, picked up a 150 point Poly contract because it’s the last on sale property that will not be subject to resell restrictions if and when we need to sell them.

I have done a few of them. The biggest downside is the check-in time is not necessarily at 4 PM, so I feel as though you’re actually getting less value out of your points if you do split days because you lose however many hours it takes to get to the next room. For those that are doing full park days, it may not be so

It will almost certainly be separate. CCV and BRV are separate, for example. Since DVC has a 50 year timeframe , I can’t see them wanting to artificially limit a brand new building by a few years, just to add to an existing association. I would say the Polynesian is unique in that regard because it’s just an add-on to

Membership Minimums

I see them going straght to 200 points for the next bump, and probably around the time LSL going on sale. Reason being is the new point charts on all the new resorts make having just 150 points not enough for many decent stays at said new resorts.

What's the benefit to owning multiple home resorts?

Different 11 month booking windows (using those specific points) or add-on itis means you're always looking for the best deal so you might not be able to buy all into the same resort, for a price you want to pay that is :) I fall into the latter :D There are a mulittude of other reasons but I'm sure these are probably

FAVORITE Holiday at WDW

As much as I love the paid holiday parties, it means you miss out unless you pay.. which hasn't always been the case. I've done MNSSHP twice but never the Chrismas one at MK, plan to do that this year. However, to really answer your question, I actually think that Christmas at the resorts, especailly at the monorail re
