We bought Poly specifically because it’s the longest lasting on sale resort that doesn’t have restrictions. I actually don’t know how often we will actually stay there, maybe once here or there, but we’ll probably never need the 11th month window :(
Just remember that if you have to sell RIV, any perspective buyer can only use those points at RIV. If you never plan on selling, that’s wouldn’t be an issue but just know that if you have to get rid of the contract for one reason another that will be the case. Poly doesn’t have the same restriction.

I’m not going to argue that the prices of accelerated but you’d probably say the same thing 2018 about 2013 prices, etc. The best time to buy direct points was yesterday, the second best time is today :)

We travel with 5 usually so we usually go with a 1 Bedroom which means OKW/SSR/AKV if we really want tto stretch out points and have a bit more space. We are eyeing BLT for a future trip because it has the best points chart on the monorail loop.

Unfortunately, The landscape will change going forward with new resorts as their contracts will only be good at their resorts. The value proposition of resell will be way less than it is now.
Yep, we bought two 150 point contracts with the Old Key West sale a couple years ago and regret not purchasing a bit more at the time.
We are doing this and have there separate 150 Point contracts eligible for member benefits that we plan on individually adding our three daughters to so that each of them gets one of the contracts eventually.
Yup completely agree, but less so because of benefits but rather anything Riviera and newer will require direct points to stay there unless you own there via resale (and you can’t stay anywhere else). The member benefits are nice too!
Just added onto with a new Poly contract, but we’re already eyeing a possible BLT contact as it’s the most economical of the monorail resorts. And I reeeally like the Joey Chou art! Really am interested in Lakeshore Lodge but not sure we’ll ever buy one of the resale restricted properties, even direct.
