The Disney Inspire is a new Chase Visa Credit Card with a $149 Annual Fee.

What does this card give you to make it worth signing up for?

  • Currently (April 2026) there is a $300 Disney Gift Card bonus when you sign up and are approved for the card (most report getting an email with the gift card almost immediately upon approval) AND a $300 Statement Credit when you spend $1000 in your first 3 months.

  • A $10 Statement Credit each month when you spend $10 on Disney+, Hulu and/or ESPN or $120 total.

  • A $100 Statement Credit per year when you spend $200 on Disney Theme Park tickets

    • This includes Lightning Lane purchases, Annual pass purchases, After-hour tickets (including MNSSHP & MVMCP) but does not include Disney Vacation Packages which include tickets. The fine print notes that the tickets must be purchased directly with Disney.

  • A $200 Disney Reward Dollar Credit when you spend $2000 on Disney Resort Stays and / or Disney Cruise Line bookings

    • This includes any cash stays booked directly with Disney but also includes folio expenses charged to your room during your stay (like purchases made with your magicband). Disney Vacation Packages DO count towards this.

    • DCL only qualifies for the stateroom rates, folio expenses and port adventures do not count towards the $2000.

    • The Disney Dining Plan DOES count towards the $2000 spend! (Thanks @Zubon for the DP!)

  • Earns 10% back on any purchases made at Disneyplus.com Hulu.com or plus.espn.com

    • This currently includes the total purchase price you make BEFORE the $10 statement credit, meaning if your monthly Disney+ plan is $12.99 you would get $1.30 back each month in reward credit and only pay $2.99 per month for Disney+ after the $10 credit.

  • Earns 3% back at gas stations and most US Disney locations

  • Earns 2% back at grocery stores & restaurants

  • Earns 1% back on everything else

  • 0% Financing for 6 months on select Disney vacation packages, Adventures by Disney packages, including DVC direct purchases

  • Exclusive Disney Inspire Visa card designs

How can I check if a purchase tracked towards one of the goals?

  • For your initial $300 statement credit when you spend $1000, it should be pretty simple since all purchases count towards this, but if you have your card setup online with Chase, you can go to the details of your card and you should see on that page a "New card bonus" section that will either show progress towards the goal or if you met the goal (see example image above).

  • For all of the other goals, it is a little harder to track them - but you can see which purchases counted towards your goal.

    • From the Chase website, if you navigate to "Benefits and Travel" and then "Rewards" then choose your Disney Inspire card, you will be presented with a list of "Recent Rewards Dollars activity" and you can click "See additional activity" - click there and find your transaction or click "See all transactions" to see more.

    • Once you find your transaction, click on it and it will tell you if the purchase counted towards one of the goals. It will say it earned 0.00 Reward Dollars across from the stated goal because the purchase itself doesn't earn Reward Dollars for that goal it just tracks towards the goal and then you'll receive a statement credit or Disney Reward Dollars separately after you've reached the goal.

    • See below for a screenshot of a WDW Lightning Lane purchase that counts towards the Disney Ticket Credit, I highlighted in yellow the part that shows this purchase tracked for the Disney Ticket Credit.

  • Is the Disney Inspire card worthwhile? Usually the best way to evaluate if a card is worthwhile is if you can earn more than the $150 Annual Fee.

    • If you're already paying for Disney+ it is easy to get there. Having a subscription that costs $10 or more per month saves you $120/year (and earns you at least $12/year in Disney Reward Dollars) and purchasing $200 worth of Disney tickets or Lightning Lanes earns you a $100 statement credit. That is a total of $232 earned for a $150 annual fee.

    • If you're able to get the $200 Disney Reward Dollars for spending $2000 on Resorts or DCL then you've really made the card worthwhile. Linking your Disney Inspire Visa to your room reservation and charging everything you can to your room earns you 10% + 3% back if you can hit $2000. Putting all of your meals and merchandise purchases on the card should get you there pretty quickly.

There was a post over on the DVC Fan Facebook group where someone said that anything that charges as "WDW" counted towards the $200 when you spend $2000 on Resorts or DCL and I can confirm using the method above that this is not the case.

Lightning Lanes and purchases made using your Inspire card directly at the parks do not count towards the $2000 spend, using the method above (and see the screenshot) you can see that my Lightning Lane purchase did not count towards the Resort / DCL bonus it only counted towards the Ticket bonus.

However, Folio expenses do count. So if you are staying onsite and have the Disney Inspire card and want to use it, it would be better to charge everything to your room rather than use the card directly. If your total purchases for the year end up being $2000 or more, you will get a $200 Disney Rewards credit.

I tested this out during our last stay. I purchased some lightning lanes with it and confirmed I did get the โ€œticketโ€ bonus. I typically charge to the room and pay balance every few days (using gift cards). I did use the Inspire card to make one of those transactions. It charged as WDW Folio (I believe) on my statement and that amount is noted as the current spend status for my reward.

Have found great value with this card so far! Been able to take advantage of the $300 statement credit and $100 ticket credit to save $400 on my dad's annual pass during our last trip. Also using it for our Hulu subscription to save $10 per month, every bit of savings counts!

Adding the Disney Dining Plan to a DVC stay did count for the $2000 of resort spending.

I am not normally an advocate of the Dining Plan, but between Kids Eat Free and getting the resort spending done in one shot, it was a good value for this year's trip.
