WDW Dining Hot Takes
I personally think that Geyser Point is WAY overhyped and the bison burger is just a fancy hockey puck.

Hot Take: Chef Mickey's is actually a great time. Yeah it's a bit chaotic, but it's quintessential Disney World, and the food is actually really good.

Today’s hot takes:
Akershus is 10x better than Cindy’s
I feel lied to re all the hype of Tony’s garlic bread - I could do better at home with frozen bread and jarred sauce
The margarita from Anaheim Produce is objectively than all the margaritas I’ve tried in the Mexico pavilion (and I tried a lot for science)
Garden Grill is way overhyped - food and service were good, but the restaurant has the ambience of a hospital cafeteria; The character interactions were also not up to par with others - some were awesome others seemingly wanted to clock out

Hot Takes:
Turf Club Lounge is the most underrated lounge at WDW
Turf Club Restaurant is one of the best kept secrets in Disney dining
I never eat at the Crystal Palace - when I was 11 (1981) we ate at the Crystal Palace. There were birds flying around inside the restaurant and the bleu cheese dressing (same approximate color as bird droppings) tasted funny. Haven't eaten there since.

I’ll go one step further and say that its actually difficult to find a bad buffet on property. Are some “better value” than others? Of course. But Chef Mickey’s is absolutely a “first stop” for us on the day in. See the characters, get a hot and good meal, and the kids love it.
Opinions may change later in the early teenage years, but for now its a cornerstone of our vacation!

I ate at Chef Mickey's a few months back (after not eating there for like 20 years) and was ready for a not great food experience...It is not signature dining or fine dining, but I found it to be really tasty and went back for a few items because they were so good.
Have fun, and "See Ya Real Soon!"
