Magical Express without a doubt
Absolutely love Magic bands. I have an Apple Watch and id take Magic bands over it anyday. It’s a huge mental shift for being on vacation. Room/tickets/cruise/payments/etc. it’s great. Really hoping the rumors of them slowly being phased out are incorrect
I was surprised by intiial #’s as well, given how well the Mandalorian show has been received by fans. It seems to be the one piece of storytelling from Disney-Star Wars that all fans enjoy consistently. My best guess is what you alluded to- Disney has harmed its Star Wars-movie reputation quite a bit. I think it will
My guess is neither will be fully available af 7 months. Youll have better luck with stay 1 at AK, but 5 consecutive nights is a lot, esepcially at a very popular time. If you’re willing to book 1 night at a time, i rhink youd have a good chance of getting it done over the course of the entire 7 month window. BruinDisn
On our first ever stay we had booked a 2bdrm at BLT as a cash stay. When we arrived we were told there was something wrong with the only available 2br, so they put us in a suite on the club level in the Contemporary. The club level amenities are nice, but i would never pay the cash prices to have them. My guess is id n
Perhaps, but he and others may disagree. At the end of the day it's a personal decision.
It is obviously a very personal decision, but we made the jump to get to 150 this year and are very thankful we did. We are hybrid now, and having the blue card does make a difference. The discount is better on DVC than the visa, lounge access is great, and you get the flexibility of using your points at the newer reso
Really important note here: the BLT studio is smaller in comparison to other studios, but it is not drastic. compared to a normal hotel room, the studios are quite spacious! We are a family of 4 (4 and 2 yr olds) and we easily fit into the BLT studio with plenty of room to play/get around one another. I think 200 pts i
I also would prefer less tower oriented properties, but I think it's inevitable. I have to imagine it's easier to maintain over the long haul, and that does equal lower dues over time. Hopefully there is a way to accomplish a hybrid approach where new resorts are able to do a little of both.
BLT has a great community hall, and the cast members there seem to always be in a great mood & welcoming to our family.
The resort mug is an absolute must for me each trip. It absolutely clicks my mind into "on vacation/at resort" mode. Love the door dash idea. Our very first trip we got in super late and hurried the kids in to get them to their beds and my wife and I doordashed Chipotle and ate it on our balcony. Oddly, we've never tho
A movie at BWV sounds incredible! Definitely will have to put it on our list. While it is always nice to be at your resort for the movie, I've made a habit of checking around to see what other movies are being screened to see if we want to pop over somewhere else. I'll be checking for BWV now. My 4 year old son LOVES t
Our first contract was resale, and we had no idea really the implications of use year when we bought. Ended up with August, and honestly it's perfect. We will never go down during the summer, it's too dang hot. We typically like to travel in the March/April window, but we would never have such an impromptu trip as to n
We were at WDW a week ago and i got chatting with a dvc guide. He opened up and said they’re operating like LSL will go on sale sometime shortly after the fiscal year starts in October. You never know how accurate that will be, but just a data point
250 points 150 direct Poly ( 1x120 , 1x30) 100 resale BLT
I'd be really interested to hear @Umbrelladrink 's thoughts on this. Is there a legitimate way to make a less phone-dependent experience which robs from the present minded enjoyment of the moment, that doesn't infringe/jeopardize Disney's profit margins? Even my idea of a tiered premier pass is a two edged sword- while
The kiosk idea is really interesting to me... Something similar to the old fastpass but you have to pay in to use them, etc. I'm truly for anything that allows me to not be tied to my phone. I know Disney won't opt for something that makes them less money, but maybe there is a way for me to give them money stiil and no
Let be known, as I defend BLT's honor, that this is done in fun and not with any angst towards you (or Derek, who has been a great help to us ;) ) BLT gets a lot of hate. I don't think the majority of commentators online are singing it's praises, but rather, taking shots at it. Not sure Derek needs an "apology" here...
Good stuff. It seems like you really know what you want(Riviera), and what you don't care about(perks). I'm the same way as you, I really don't like buying into a resort I don't actually want to stay at-- some of this calculation is emotional/personal. That being said, the most recent article re: 2042 expirations bring
