Aulani Owners Thread - Aloha 🌺
This is my first home resort. I bid on a resale while on my first point rental stay. We had never even stayed on site at Disney parks but couldn’t pass up a sale of $8 pt rental. We stayed once with my aunty’s travel deal but never again for almost 10 years. When Aulani first opened, it sounded too good to be true and thought the math was a scam. Wish I listened, because our points would have been subsidized.
It is so beautiful - we now go a few days, sprinkled thru the year (April- Dec) as a staycation since I live here.
What do you love about Aulani? My favorites are the Lazy River, the quiet pool and walking around the lagoons. Love the art tour as well. There are so many characters on property! Aunty’s Beach House staff is excellent and people here love to work at Aulani!

So far we have only been once, but my favorites were swimming in the lagoon every day (we never used the pool!), splurging on an Executive lanai one day, and visiting the amazing spa!

We stayed in a cash room in 2013 and fell in love with Aulani! We left that trip buying our first contract (a few more contracts were added). I love the focus that is placed on the Hawaiian culture. The Disney touch is everywhere in the story telling and the awesome cast members.
Took our family and my parents three years ago when the oldest graduated high school. Loved this resort so much we added a subsidized dues contract that wasn’t in our use year just to come back. Brining my best friends family along next summer. This is my absolute favorite resort, for many reasons!

I bought without staying. Very first DVC contract.
I visited once a DVC presentation years ago, spent 7 years and 2 kids easing my husband into the idea, then rented points to go later this year.
All it took was seeing the cost of renting points once (which is already a huge discount compared to cash) and I was making offers on resale contracts.
Here for an overnighter. Ask me questions! :) I noticed I couldn't sit at Quiet Pool seats until 8am. Not sure if that's new. Island Market ABC store across the street is still affordable. Had a loco moco for breakfast and a seared ahi somen salad for lunch. Guess I won't eat my oatmeal from home...lol. A very relaxing, non crowded day which is a nice change. Overcast but no rain.

Eta: Major construction going on at the main pool. It’s fenced off with loud jackhammers. Lounge chairs surrounding are reconfigured to face ocean. Ulu prices jumped up since late 2025.

We are planning a stay in September for our 40th anniversary. Thought I saw that Aulani has its own shuttle for the airport, is that true?
Can we get by with Ubers rather than a rental car?
Will there be any whale watching excursions in September?
Appreciate any info you can share, thanks!

Per front desk just now: You can do an airport shuttle Helehele for $25/$10kids. Reserve ahead. https://www.heleheleshuttle.com
They used to have a shuttle to get to Ka Makana Mall a few miles away with a rental car place there. But the shuttle is no longer in service.
You can also Skyline (rail) from the airport to get much closer to Aulani then uber from there but might be too much hassle.
I believe Sept is not whale watching season on Oahu.
I'll be here in early Sept too! 40th is a huge milestone!!

We do not own at Aulani, but I have many wonderful memories there with my favorite just sitting on that little bit of land on the left part of the lagoon and just watching the waves come in. It is usually a pretty quiet spot so its nice if you just want to get a little space from the noise!
Can anyone with a recent visit confirm which type of coffee makers the 1BR Standard view in the EWA Tower?

I am planning a stay for September 2027. Hoping to get a one bedroom at seven months for 4-5 nights. We will be pairing it with 3-4 nights at Grand Cal (our home resort) on the way back. 8 nights total, not sure of the breakdown just yet.
DW and I have been watching tons of Youtube videos about Aulani and can't wait to check it out. We stayed at HHI a few years back and loved the vibe of staying at Disney without the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. It is actually what convinced us to buy our first DVC contract.
