Which do you prefer paying dues yearly or paying monthly?

I pay monthly, dont want to pay a big lump sum. But I totally get why others do, this just works better for me to budget

I've been doing a mixture of both the past couple of years. In January, I pay down as much I can with discounted gift cards and then I opt in for the monthly payments before January 15, so I can at least get some of the benefits of the discount while not paying a big lump sum.

We've been paying a lump sum at the beginning of the year that way I only grumble about it once a year rather than every month 😆

We’re paying monthly for the first time. The downside is that I don’t get to use a credit card and earn the points that way. However, the interest on my cash is currently earning more than the credit card points would be worth. If rates go down then I’ll pay the balance using the CC immediately.

I do a combination and there is a loophole to use gift cards throughout the year (if your points are spread over multiple contracts). Accumulate GCs in Nov & Dec as groups run specials, use what I have before the Jan 15th. Then sign up for the monthly, but keep getting GCs as deals arise (and Kroger bonus points for discounted gas) then....Here is the loophole, while you can't just pay extra with a GC after Jan 15th, if you are paying off the balance of a contract you can use the Disney GC. So a few monthlies get taken but I strategize when paying in January to delay monthlies from starting until April and then pay off contracts 1 by 1.

We pay monthly. Better to spread across the year for our budget. We have multiple contracts and monthly payments just seem to work better. Once set up, We just dont have to worry about it.
