My wife and I are empty nesters and wish for other empty nesters to share our love of all things Disney and our DVC Vacations.
Come join us on our adventures.

Loving Being Empty Nesters yet, waiting for Grand Kids. ;)
I will be an empty nester in 5 months. I am not looking forward to it but will definitely use this chance to travel at less peak times.

Recent โsemi-emptyโ nester here. Looking at a potential move to Fl to be closer to the Mouseโฆ.and one daughter who is at college there.
I think we fall in the category of "semi" empty nesters as well. Our son goes to College out of state, and will be graduating this December. So 9 months of the year we have been empty nesters We have been on a couple of trips without him, but honestly we find going with him, and his girlfriend of 3 years, to be a lot of fun as well. Instead of going with children you have to watch over all of the time, its like going with 2 friends that can fend for, and do things by themselves, and you can catch up for dinner or a couple of rides later in the day. :)

Empty Nesters, with 2 grands!
We become empty nesters this fall. Still grappling with the end to 30 years of the hands-on parenting role. Bonus (happy spot): a wise friend told me that you shouldn't go home after dropping your last kiddo off at school, so you can guess what we did: Our first DVC stay as new owners! Flying the evening after the DS college drop off.

We arenโt going directly after drop off. But I did book a big trip. Going to Hawaii - Maui and Aulani. I am not going to take this transition well but i will do my best b

We are soon to be empty nesters! Our 23 year old youngest is hoping to move out later this year once they save up some more money for their launch into the real world. We don't travel with our adult kids so it's just my husband and I enjoying the vacations together. I will miss having my youngest at home to be our dog sitter ๐

My youngest moves out in May. She is our dog sitter as well, and we will miss that!
We have been empty nesters for 4 years now during the college calendar (son and daughter) but luckily our daughter is graduating next month and coming home for grad school.
They have given us so much crap for going to Disney without them during this time!!! Too bad so sad!!

Semi-empty nestersโฆour daughter graduated from collegde but almost no one can afford rent on a teachers salary so she still lives at home (sheโs a great housesitter when we travel though!) We do have one granddaughter and canโt wait to start bringing her to Disney!

We did this last fall. Dropped Our daughter off at college then drove straight to Disney for a couple of days. First time at CCV and it was the perfect transition!
Empty with grandsโฆ itโs funny how that one room in the house went from dining to kids toys to home office and now back to kids toy room. Whatโs next?
Yep, I made the brilliant move to sell my original 150 pt OKW contact a couple of decades agoโฆ.ugh
We are also empty with 2 grands !! People ask me all the time why Disney???? Wellโฆ..why not!!๐ at OKW next couple of days the to BC!!

We are empty nesters. Our first DVC stay as owners was just the two of us. Although, I did become an owner to continue our family trips. I am looking forward to โjust the two of usโ and family trips.

Our first DVC trip is this September and will just be the 2 of us for 4 days! Our plan is to check out as many resorts as we can while also trying to relax. May not even hit the parks. We are recent empty nesters with a daughter with special needs and she is our normal Disney traveling partner. But she's staying home on this one. (don't @ me - we are taking her to Disneyland in Decmeber๐). We are very fortunate in that she has found her way into a great group home setting. For us, empty nesting is not forever guaranteed given our daughter's needs, so we plan to enjoy empty nesting as much as we can while we can.

We started with Disney and DVC just before we had children, our first two trips were to Saratoga Springs. It will be interesting to come full circle from those relaxing, low key trips to the constant motion of the trips we've been on with the kids and back again to low key relaxation. It's a place for all phases of life!
