Quick Poll. Who is thinking of adding on or buying into Lake Shore Lodge?
I am curious as to how many Current DVC members are thinking about LSL.
With the Size, location, and restrictions are you thinking seriously about LSL? If so why and if not Why Not.

For us we will be looking at the point chart for sure. We already have 3 WDW home resorts, a fourth maybe a bit much. However BWV expires in 2042 and it would be great to have a replacement for those points when it happens. I expect it to take years to sell out, so there is time.

I, like you, have 3 Home resorts already too, one also being BWV. Financially at the moment thats it but Iโve been dreaming of a Grand Floridian resale Forever so I know I want to stay at Lakeshore sometime but if i add on again itll be at the Grand.

My answer is yes if I were looking for points...which I'm not. So I won't. But I'm sure I'd love it.

I am interested in LSL but i own VGF and CCV, so I probably wont. In all reality ill wait until 2042 for the retheme of BWV/BCV and pay $500 per point ๐

Iโd have to reword the โNo, not at this timeโ to โNo way ever.โ
While I like the concept, itโll be too far from everything we enjoy most and particularly impractical for transportation to the parks. We both are not fond of the buses, hubby especially so since he uses a powerchair. The drivers do a good job fastening chairs in place safely, but itโs a hassle wondering how long it may be before we can get onto a bus since there are only a couple places for chairs on them.
Owning at VGF and BCV gives us easier proximity to our preferred parksโMK, Epcot and DHS.
Weโll stick with those two for lengthy stays with an occasional โsleep aroundโ single night for variety.

Wow it looks like LSL is going to be a hard sell for adding on! Pretty much what I thought.

We own at RIV and SSR and recently inherited BRV and 2057 OKW so no. Definite maybe if we hadnโt bought RIV in 2022.
The vibe we are expecting at DLL is what has pushed us to seriously consider DVC. That being said, in practicality, we do not need 50 years of ownership in any resort. Our interest ultimately has landed on Poly. Owning at a resort without resale restrictions adds a little security blanket. In the event of an unlikely change of interest or financial hardship it is comforting to know that ownership in a resort without resale restrictions would likely retain greater resale value. That along with the large scale of this resort which means we don't feel we will have trouble getting in at the 7 month mark after a couple of years has solidified our decision not to pursue ownership at Lakeshore.
I really donโt get the LL thing at allโฆ All of the art I see puts it at below a Moderate for meโฆ. and its going to have resale restrictionsโฆ.
Let me know when they have a Yacht Club DVCโฆ..

Maybe if they added a Skyliner. Otherwise Iโm good with my MK resorts where I can walk to the park.

I second that. BWV and BLT are great. Our only resort where bus transport is a must is AKV. It has other redeeming qualities that make it worthwhile.

In a different situation I would be thrilled to add to this resort. It's the best of both worlds, a Deluxe Resort Villa Hotel with easy access to all of the activities and amenities offered by Fort Wilderness and as a bonus I'm assuming the walking path to the WL will reopen as well so easy access to that resort too. However, now that I have ownership at four different resorts, I just don't see myself adding another.
Iโm a firm no go on resale restricted resorts. Too much risk of rapid depreciation. If you absolutely love it, good chance it will be like riviera - available at almost half price resale in just a few years.

I worry about the resale restrictions as well but if the price/deal is extremely good AND we enjoy the property then it might be hard to pass up.
