Best Balconies?

Old Key West and it's not even close. The Villas at Key West have big balconies with a nice table and chairs that you can actually use. Other resorts have tiny balconies you can barely fit on.

I really liked Riviera’s balcony because our room and the balcony were very clean and maintained pretty well.

The other one would have been the Poly Tower because that was only a few months old when we got a waitlist there. Again very clean and the furniture wasn’t too old/beaten up.

Third floor of Moorea at Poly, and it's not close. Amazing view of the lake, castle, and grounds. Polynesian vibes. One of the best ways to watch Happily Ever After because they play the soundtrack on the beach below.

And unlike BLT/VGF/PIT Theme Park View, the points cost is quite reasonable. The biggest downsides are 1) it's only available as a studio, though you can get 2 connecting. And 2) you aren't guaranteed to get the third floor. If you get the 2nd or 1st, it's a pretty big downgrade vs 3rd.

Before we stayed there, I firmly held that the view was largely irrelevant and not worth paying up for. This one stay made me reconsider.

As much as I love BWV for so many other reasons, those balcony chairs are among the worst! I don't have a bad back, but those chairs are so uncomfortable, which is a shame when there are some awesome Boardwalk View rooms to enjoy.

Don't sleep on the Hilton Head balconies. They are incredibly large even for studios, they have two rocking chairs and a whole picnic table. May not have the view of the Poly Tower or Boardwalk but if you get a view of the marsh with the orange glow of a sunrise/sunset that is quite a view as well.

Riviera balconies are my favourite. We usually get one with a canopy and we can sit out in storms and watch the lightning show. Also love the Poly balconies as the chairs are so comfortable.

Least favourite is probably the studios at Boardwalk as they are really small and not private at all.

Yes!! We got lucky to stay at a studio for 2 nights in March and I loved the updated room and the balcony is huge!! So peaceful and serene. I could spend a lot of time on that balcony.

I concur that Old Key West has the best balconies because they are actually usable with a full table and chairs, and not just a couple bistro chairs.

We thought the same. Only con with our room. Aside from that, BWV is amazing!

Omg I agree. I love the Boardwalk and the Boardwalk view is so good but between the chairs some tiny balconies or the ones that are enclosed I’m not a fan of the balconies there either.

I haven’t stayed there yet but I’m looking forward to it at some point in the future. The Riviera balconies look so clean and perfect from the ground and they look like the perfect size too. It also looks like every view there would be good

It does stink that you can’t guarantee yourself that third floor view but I guess that’s why they are the cheapest theme park view rooms. I haven’t stayed in the og Poly yet but they do look like great clean balconies.

I think my least favorite balcony was Beach Club. It was dirty and the views are pretty boring. The most uncomfortable chair for me is Boardwalk so far.

We were so excited for our first DVC stay to be in a BW view studio in 2022. We had an amazing room, with an amazing view of the boardwalk, but the balcony was so dirty with spiders, webs, and grime we just couldn't enjoy it. We saw other balconies being power washed from a lift during our stay in another section of the BW view rooms, so maybe we just had bad timing that ours was due for cleaning in the next few days?

We have since also stayed at Jambo, OKW, and Poly with all very clean balconies.
