It will be interesting to see the room type distribution because that will determine how easy it is to get reservations at 7 months. Meaning, some room types will be easier than others and while you may be able to get a room, you may not be able to get the type of room you want. I noticed the Disney Tourist Blog articl

I've never stayed in the Tree Houses but I've visited them on more than one occasion because I knew somebody staying there. They are great and I recommend staying there. The only thing I will say is that having a car when staying in them is essential whether you drive or rent a car. My understanding is the Treehouse bu
So I have sailed the Wonder six times (four to Alaska) and while I love that ship, during last fall's Vancouver to Hawaii cruise we noticed for the first time that the ship seemed to be showing its age bit. Nothing big, just worn out furniture and some areas looking a little tired. I hope she has gotten or will get a g
I have heard some anecdotal information that people are changing how they spend money at WDW. For example, due to paid LLs they are spending less in restaurants and in stores. I don't know if that is true or not, I just heard people in the world of online Disney make that claim. I suppose if that happens for long enoug
Interesting article by Paul K. on upcoming refurbishments, including OKW. I really hope DVC doesn't over think this and just hits the easy button and more or less mirrors what they have done at Vero Beach. https://dvcfan.com/dvc-resorts/dvc-refurbishment-timelines-updates/
That's a really good article Paul, well done. Full of facts and numbers and analysis and not just a bunch of hand wringing and hyperventilating. You pretty much hit on everything I've been saying for several years. Disney is not going to bring back free things (like Fast Passes) when charging money for them is making t
Had our first trip to the Aulani last October after the Vancouver to Hawaii cruise on the Wonder, it was fantastic. Here is a link to an article I got published in WDW Magazine about the trip - https://www.wdw-magazine.com/disney-cruise-line-vancouver-to-honolulu/?srsltid=AfmBOormffTAda8n_LsSIM196jDG2j5pDPKVw_o6fOHM_2c
Wine and Dine Half Marathon at night, that was a lot of fun.
We've stayed at BRV a lot because my parents bought there in 2001 and my wife and I recently inherited points from them. At times we've shared a bus loop with the Contemporary, at times we've shared a bus loop with the FW, and at times we've been on our own bus loop. I think it is something that they make regular adjus
And you will notice that the Wilderness Lodge (all rooms between the hotel and both DVCs) plus the Lakeside Lodge = 1652 rooms, only eight more than all of the Animal Kingdom Lodge in total. We should assume the Lakeside Lodge and the Wilderness Lodge will share a bus route. In terms of the Moderate and Value resorts h
The resort is not massive, it is a normal sized Deluxe Resort. At 957 total rooms it is in line with several other resorts in the same category: Walt Disney World Hotels - Number of Rooms Grand Floridian Resort – over 1,000 total rooms and villas between the main hotel and two separate DVC buildings. Contemporary Resor
I will say that I am excited about this resort and I am hoping that since it will be DVC's second biggest resort (although normal size overall for a Deluxe Class Resort), getting a room at seven months will not be too hard.
Sorry dude, I have zero interest in buying points that will expire in 2042.
I like the Cruise/Vero Beach combo (in either order). The night in the Poly is an added bonus because we have a morning flight home from MCO and I don't want to drive there from Vero Beach.
Five nights on the Dream out of Fort Lauderdale starting 27 September with port calls at Castaway and Lookout Point and two days at sea followed by three nights at Vero and a single night in the Poly Tower before we fly home from MCO.
56 days to the Disney Dream 61 days to Vero Beach 64 days to the Island Tower (only one night)
Dumb question, our first stay in the tower is coming up in October. It's just one night before we fly home out of MCO, coming on the back end of five nights on the Dream and three nights at Vero. Does the tower have its own parking lot or is it the same parking lot as the rest of the resort?
