Favorite Restaurant and Why?
Original Post by Maiyou
Picture yourself at Disney for one night and you can k my eat at one restaurant what would it be? For me it is Be Our Guest, I know it took a hit with
Boma. Amazing soups. The real cost of the Disney Dining Plan is discovering which of the really expensive restaurants you really like.
This is so true! I'm trying the Dining Plan for the first time thanks to the kids eat free promo, and Boma definitely made that list!
Happy to call the BoardWalk, Bay Lake Tower, and Grand Floridian home!
This is tough. We are foodies from New York and we have a lot of options near our home. My husband was also a chef for 10 years. We really enjoyed Wailulu last time, even though it was so cold out and we had to sit inside. We still have a lot of places to try. And while we hit a couple good ones last trip, there was a dud I won't mention. 4 months later and my husband still whines about it lol. I tried
Skipper Canteen is my favorite so far. I don't know if I got lucky but the steak I got there was so good.
Boma!

Garden Grill is a must do for us to ensure a successful Disney World vacation.
This is how I've been feeling at Crystal Palace. It's the one breakfast ADR I seem to tee up without even questioning it. Some may question my choice, but we've been vegan 25 years (our kid has been raised vegan), so we very much base our dining around a) quality and variety of plant-based options and b) character interactions.
We've done Garden Grill twice, and though we loved all our character interactions both times, the all you care to enjoy fake meats is lazy for a place like that, and indistinguishable from the same offering in, like 4-5 other restaurants, so it's somewhat disappointing, especially for the price (and even more so because we can barely all finish the first platter, so we don't get much of a deal out of it).
Crystal Palace has a couple delicious plant-based breakfast items I get every time, and our son can get the plant-based Mickey Waffles, plus it's not too expensive relative to some.
I like the framing here. I have to think of others we can't miss. We've done 'Ohana every time, and enjoy seeing Stitch, but I'm not sure it's a must every time. Maybe I'll skip it next time and see!

I feel this. I definitely have to lower my standards, especially given the cost. We live outside the city, but travel in for special occasions and just for the heck of it a few times a year, and most places we end up we have a much better meal than we have ever had at Disney. π€·πΌββοΈ

Discovered Morimoto Asia during my trip with hubby in Apr 25. What a nice meal we had! Took the kids on Christmas Day 25. Will be our new go to restaurant at Disney Springs. We also love Topplino's dinner, and Garden Grill breakfast. On the flip side, I will never go back to Sci-Fi.

How takes over here. Crystal Palace has some of the best brunch on property. Summerhouse is my favorite non-character meal.
I always like to give Flying Fish some love on threads like these. Seems to get overlooked. My only knock is there is no view, if it was somehow on the second floor with sprawling windows looking out onto the lake it would be #1 on a lot of peopleβs lists.

Ah, the churro Mickey waffles!

Always The Boathouse at Disney Springs for me! By far my favorite restaurant in the world and I've had many memorable meals after good news, bad news, and everything in between with my fiance.
Especially if we can do weekend brunch to get the cinnamon bread service and a nice breakfast taco (underrated dish there)! I love love love it!

I really love Teppan Edo. The food is consistently excellent, and the service is always great. But I love that we have had a few experiences when we have met wonderful families sitting at our table with us, and that's made the experience even better. For QS? Our go-to is Sunshine Seasons in Epcot. As you can see, Epcot is our favorite place to eat.
I agree with @EllenDVC3 on Morimoto Asia. My wife and I love that place. Also, I think we both canβt wait to get the burger from Steakhouse 71 for lunch on one of our Magic Kingdom days.
Personally, I love California Grill for a nice dinner. We ate there and at Victoria and Albertβs on our honeymoon.
I thought the food at California Grill was excellent. Plus, that view is amazing. Hard to beat looking down at Cinderella Castle at sunset enjoying a great dinner.
V and Aβs is in its own stratosphere. That was our first fine dining experience. Iβm convinced that staff and those chefs can feed me anything, and it would be amazing. If you can go there, you have to try it once.

Steakhouse 71. That burger and history wins for me.
Some may consider this Disney-adjacent, but one of the best meals we had was at Capa in the Four Seasons.
Definitely worth the short drive to get thereβ¦and to have the opportunity to drive through Golden Oak!

For us it has to be the bar at the California Grill! We typically split whatever the special meal is at the time and maybe add one more sushi roll. Throw in a couple drinks and it is the best date night!

If we are in Epcot, we are eating at San Angel Inn for lunch. Food is solid and you canβt beat the setting. I know it gets bashed regularly on popular message boards but it works for us.
Also when in Epcot, I have to get the Fish and Chips at Yorkshire County Fish Shop. Unreal how good it is.

A tough one to answer, right now my favorite or my delicious meal to date was Tiffins at the Animal Kingdom. It truly is a hidden gem. I tried it last September during Welcome Home Weeks. The shrimp & grits were delicious and the cast members were awesome. When I go to visit in June, it's Annual Passholder days and I'll return to Tiffins. Yum!

For me and my oldest son it would be Oβhana we love the food, and every time we have been there the service has been fantastic.
For my wife and youngest son it would be Beaches and Cream
Animal Kingdom Contract Direct
2 X Old Key West Extended Contracts Resale
This is a tough one because there is a lot of choices. For me it is either
Beaches and cream
Cape may for breakfast
Crystal palace
If I had to choose one it would be crystal palace as my mom is not a big seafood person, however i am okay with seafood, but I have to appease everyone!

Definitely going to have to say.... Jiko - The Cooking Place!
We stayed one night at AKL in the middle of our camping trip in Dec and well, ended up making it 'official'. The staff and management were amazing!!! They helped Mike sneak this engagement in on me!! They brought us dessert from the Club Level Lounge and one of the managers took photos and video and texted it to me later that evening! They also gave us a signed card from the staff working that night! It was so sweet and I'll cherish it forever!
Now... we just need to get on with the marriage part. Mike wants to get it done in while we are in Florida in May because his work schedule is so hectic, but no clue the best route to go... basically just the two of us, no guests (well, maybe 2 of my kids since they'll be with us?)

I agree with Jiko at AKL being the best restaurant at WDW. My runner up is Flying Fish at the Boardwalk

My current favorite is Yak & Yeti because I like so many things there. Appetizers are great, steak and shrimp were wonderful, that pineapple dessert is phenomenal!
Le Cellier has been one of my favorites for 20 years though.
I would say Victoria and Alberts, but I feel like that is cheating. So, I am going with Citricos because I feel like it is the closest thing. But wow there are really so many great restaurants at WDW...
My Fancy Picks - Narcoossee's, Topolino's, Le Cellier!
And if we don't want to go fancy - Wailulu, Saana, Sebastian's
If we want to sit at a bar and watch a game but still get amazing food - Crews Cup Lounge (Yachtsman Food!)

Too hard of a question!!! So many good choices. So, I have to reply this way: table service, Boma, specifically for breakfast; quick service, Satu'li Canteen;, lounge, Brown Derby (Cobb salad=yum yum)!
Whispering Canyon Cafe for lunch is really good. Also enjoy the pulled pork nachos at Capt Cooks
I love the pulled pork nachos at Capt. Cook's...so so good! The spicy mayo, pico, and pineapple salsa give it a unique touch!
Love Toppolinos and Boathouse, but don't skip on Crockett's Tavern. We stayed in the cabins last year and the food there was so good. Can't wait to go back. Dreaming of the mac and cheese burnt ends and the fried green tomatoes with tempura cauliflower. Amazing
Youβll love it , Laura!

Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge! All I need is their bread service with dips/sauces and a glass of Pinot Noir from South Africa. Prefer a table by the window to see the animals outside.
Lots of tough choices ... but we normally end our trips anymore at the top of Riveria for brunch! Love Topolino's for breakfast!
Boathouse is our favorite but we also really enjoy Steakhouse 71 and Boma for breakfast. Never had a bad meal at any of these. Lobster roll and the filet sliders at Boathouse, oh my.
Will also say that Rainforest cafe at AK is always a surprise. Always have a good meal and great service. Our secret is to go off hours, like early early dinner.
