Hello everyone! Just wanted to jump on and say Hi. New to forums so bear with me as I learn to navigate lol.
Hello! My name is Troy and my wife Donya and I have have been DVC members since 2022, and after joining, like most people, we wish we joined DVC sooner! Our home resorts are at Riviera, Copper Creek and the Boardwalk. While we do love the parks, (especially Epcot), we typically do resort only stays and just occasionally pop into the parks to jump on a quick ride or grab a snack. Looking forward to this new forum!

Hello everyone. I'm Scott from Missouri. My wife and I, along with our son, have been DVC members since 2014. Only succumbed to addonitis twice since then. Those darn 1 bedrooms.
Hey everyone! Phil from Colorado, human dad, dog dad, IT data nerd, DVC lodge enthusiast, and well…
I just…
I just wonder if Geyser Point thinks about me as much as I think about it, you know 😕
yeah yeah, that’s great, but what’s the wait time for Pirates???

Hello DVCFan Forums! My name is Drew and my wife and I have been DVC Members since 2019! Riviera is our home resort! I grew up coming to Disney with my family and now get the joy of bringing my wife and daughter to experience the magic! You can typically find us snacking throughout the parks or just relaxing on the PeopleMover!
I'm excited about the new forums and the opportunity at the chance to better connect with other Disney folks from all over!
Remember to Thank the Phoenicians!

Hello everyone, I am excited to join this community! My family and I are from the Midwest, and although we are not owners yet, I've enjoyed watching the show and learning about DVC. Neither my husband or I visited Disney as kids, so our family trip fall of 2023 was a first for all of us. That was supposed to be our "one & only" Disney trip. 🤣 We have since visited Aulani and this year I ran the Disney Princess Half-Marathon. (I ran for Team Give Kids the World Village, which I learned about through DVCFan!) We rented points at the Polynesian for race weekend and loved it. I am interested in a Poly resale contract, but my husband is not yet convinced. We have a lot of destinations besides Disney on our travel bucket list, but I definitely plan to do more runDisney races. Whether we stay renters or become owners I look forward to learning from everyone and getting to know this community!

Hello! My name is Tracey and I'm from Michigan. My husband and I became DVC members while on our first (and only) Disney Cruise in 2018. It was something I'd wanted to do forever, but it didn't make sense until my oldest was working at Disney and I was going down a few times a year in addition to our normal family vacations. Our home is Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani and it's still my favorite resort. I have two daughters, 31 and 14. My oldest daughter rarely goes with us anymore, since she moved back to Michigan right as the pandemic hit and has created her adult life here. We go to DisneyWorld on even years and DisneyLand on odd years. We were able to use our points at Disneyland Hotel last year and I LOVED it there. I love having our DVC points and can't wait to add more when we can.
I found DVCFan on Facebook first and then found the weekly shows and I love watching them each week for all the great information and fun way that Amy, Paul, Jeff and Derek interact. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Hello community! We are so excited to join these Forums and have the opportunity to share and connect! We are an avid Disney and travel family from SLC and have been DVC members since 2018. We own at various resorts and love them all! Thank you to Paul, Amy and Keyholder Vacations for brainstorming this fantastic idea and making it a reality! Looking forward to connecting with you all!
Hello all!
I’ve been a fan of the show for about 2-3 years. This show ultimately taught me everything about DVC and I purchased multiple DVC contracts and sold a few. I’ve saved money and made money thanks to the contents of the show. Ultimately, I started my DVC journey when I stayed at the Poly by renting points and experienced the immersion that resort offered. I knew I wanted to go back as much as I could, and experience the immersion of the other resorts. Now, I’m able to bring my family back to these amazing resorts multiple times a year thanks to the investments in resale DVC points. I’m just here for the ride with the rest of the community now!

Hello, we are a family of four from New Hampshire. We own 200 points at Copper Creek.
excited to check out the new forums.
Hello! we are a family of 3 in the Indianapolis area. Don't own any DVC yet but have been heavily looking for a bit. Have a 4 year old and we try to get to Disney once a year. Can't decide between direct at Poly or Riviera, or resale at the Poly. We are also looking to go to Aulani in 2027 so not sure the best way to maximize our contract!

Hi from Maine!! I was so excited to see new forums from DVC Fan since I used to use forums to plan alllll my trips back in the day! My husband and I are new to DVC, we have our first stay at BLT in June. We have been soooo many times and just always thought DVC was out of our reach, but when we decided to do a big trip with our kids and granddaughter, we figured that it just made more sense. We always like to stay deluxe and this way we will always get to.
We have a 25 year old son, who is married to a lovely woman! They have a 19 month old who is just the best baby ever! She is one of the reasons we decided it was time to go the DVC route! Our daughter is almost 24 and she has a lovely boyfriend (i predict a wedding in the next year or two!), All of use are going to BLT from 12/26/26 to 1/2/27 this year. We scored a two bedroom villa, which we could have NEVER afforded otherwise.
I credit DVC Fan Youtube videos with convincing my husband this was the way to go…we just never understood how it worked before and you all break it down so well!!

Hello from Alabama! Lifelong Michigander transplanted here while hopefully, working my way to Florida one day! I didn't go to Disney World until I was an adult, in my 20's and then I was hooked and starting making up for lost time. I have celebrated my 30th, 40th, 50th and 60th birthdays while at Disney World with many in between. Just this past year I bought 2 "small contracts" resale, both with the same use year and both at the Boardwalk (closed one last September and one in January) and will be having my first official DVC stay this coming September with 1 night at AKL Kidani and then 10 nights at Boardwalk, in a boardwalk view room. So excited! I did stay there this past September as well but not as a DVC member.
I normally travel with my bestie of 50 years since neither of our husbands are true fans (too hot and too much walking for them). Looking forward to reading about everyone's Disney experiences!

Hi, from Central Illinois. I am a retired teacher and have been a DVC Fan follower since its inception. The current crew has definitely made DVC Fan so much better. Love listening to all of you and am excited for this forum. Thank you for all the hard work you do for this community. ❤️
Wife and I are recent empty-nesters in the Dallas TX area. We've been DVC members since 2002, so our kids were lucky to have frequent visits to WDW, plus we lived in SoCal for awhilie and got the AP experience at Disneyland for a couple of years. We've only had one add-on (resale) and our only home resort is Beach Club Villas so we dread the year 2042!
Hello DVC community! We're DVC members from Ontario, Canada. My wife and I became full fledged Disney Adults in 2019 after our first visit to WDW. In 2024 we became DVC members! We have a 17 month old who has already been to WDW twice and counting :)
Tampa airport is one of our favorites. I love Phoebe the Flamingo.
That was interesting to see a flamingo in an airport. I am not a fan of the way they laid out Orlando airport and the car rentals there. To me Orlando is much busier than Tampa airport. Tampa airport was nice with the train and separate car rental facility.

Hi DVC fan fam!
I’m Amy from Indiana. I’ve been a DVC owner since 2022 and currently own Poly, Riv, and AKL. My cousins were my entrance into DVC and I’ve been hooked ever since. Exited to see where this community grows!
Hey there 👋 from Wildwood, NJ!
Welcome Home! Waited my whole life to hear those words said to me. I still enjoy going on YouTube and watching old DVC infomercials that used to run on the resort tv of All Star Sports. What a time to be alive!
Thank you for creating this forum! We went to Disney in 2000 with our older kids, and at the time I thought one and done. In 2023 my husband’s work had a convention which was hosted at Yacht Club and we extended our stay to celebrate my 50th birthday. Disney brought so much joy and relaxation we came back several times over the next year. DVC Fan found its way into my Facebook feed and I learned about rental opportunities. We began renting points and feel so grateful to the DVC members who gave us that opportunity. We’ve rented points at every WDW DVC resort except the cabins, Riviera, and Copper Creek. For Christmas in 2025 my husband and I decided we were ready to become members ourselves. It was the best vacation decision we could have made for future family trips! We love camping, boating, and visiting all of our National Parks. Now, we absolutely love making memories at Disney too! (Picture from our last trip)

Hi from South Louisiana!
RFinBR
My wife's name is Amanda, and I'm Sam. We live in Jacksonville, Florida. It's about 3 hours north of Walt Disney World. It's a long enough drive, that we can go a weekend a month if we have a serious desire to wear Mickey ears.
I'd like to say thank you guys for all the content you've put out about resale, it's been a serious help on this journey.
We officially started our journey just this past year after about six months of stalking resale listings. And we finally pulled the trigger on a 190-point Polynesian resale contract. I figured it was enough for a one-week stay in studios at the Poly, plus another week somewhere else each year if I planned carefully.
I had to have the Poly. Ever since I was a kid riding the Monorail and looking down at people walking around the Polynesian grounds, I wanted to be one of them—stepping out of my room, hopping on the Monorail, and heading straight to the parks.
Our Poly contract was light on points this year, so we had to borrow from next year to make good on the “two weeks of Disney” promise I made to my wife.
We were able to squeeze in a couple of quick trips with one night at OKW and two nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge within a few months after the contract closed. That definitely helped keep my wife on board!
And we’re about a month away from our first “real” week-long stay.
But we've already made our first BIG DVC mistake…
Our first AKV stay was a savanna view studio at Kidani. Our second AKV stay? A one-bedroom value villa at Jambo.
So now my original “we’ll just stay in studios” plan has somehow evolved into “maybe one- and two-bedrooms… with giraffes outside.”
Which is exactly why we just added on another 160-point resale contract at AKV.
I swear it's almost as bad as chicken math.
Poly and AKV Resale
Good morning. Been listening to the DVC Fan show for years. Enjoy weekly on Spotify.
Years ago I was stalking DVC resale sites for resale Saratoga after staying in Poly Villa studios on deep discount and then renting a 2BR at Beach following year. Instead I took a chance on a unicorn. A subsidized Vero contract. In fact once it closed we found out that it was an ultra rare double subsidized Vero. So my dues are like $1.10 below the published subsidized price. We lived in NY at the time. But now we live near Hilton Head. So Vero is a 5 hour drive. In fact I’m here now sitting on my balcony listening to the ocean.
One time I hope to run into Derek D here aka Resale Derek. Hey now!
I’ve used my Vero points to stay at almost every WDW resort , Vero (currently here for the r 4th time ) and HHI.
Still debating my next contract. My Vero points are grandfathered to being able to stay at all the resorts, but no official blue card. So I’ve done back and forth to direct or resale. And go resale I’m all over the board in terms of straight economics (aka Saratoga ) or where I live the most. My family lives Riviera (and yes I know the bad thing about resale there ) or Fort Wilderness cabins is on our radar to direct because of being able to bring your dog.
Hello from the Magic Kingdom!
We're locals and I drive past Disney World everyday and have been here for the past few years but before long we'll be heading back home to socal and Disneyland will once again become our go to park. We have a strong preference for Disney World but at bare minimum it will make the trek to Aulani much easier! Prior to this we were living in the midwest for my work and at one point made 8 trips to WDW in a single year so to say we're obsessed is an understatement and DVC made sense. My uncle gifted us 8 nights in a 1BR and pretty much ever since then we've chased that high of having nice rooms at WDW. I've also been listening to DVC Fan for years and listen to it daily on the drive to work. I've listened to all the episodes probably at least 3 times just because I listen to them on the way to and back from work. When I run out I just start back over from the beginning LOL. Last year we were fortunate enough to get married on property in Epcot and are looking forward to bringing our family eventually.

Edit: sorry for the photo spam!

Aw thanks :) We took photos on 3 separate days early in the morning. One for the wedding, another at MK and finally another at Epcot. Waking up at 3am at the latest each time to get ready.. not fun but doing the actual photos was fun. The second photo up there was from our wedding reception as we had our private first dance on the balcony at California Grill.

We also couldn't help doing some photos at our home resort. We actually liked the photos we got that came from the little nook behind le petit cafe.

Hi Everyone!
I'm Margaret from Georgia. My husband and I became DVC member in 2023. So, excited to be part of these forums! Thank you DVC Fan for starting theses forums because I am old LOL and I don't do social media !
Hi Amy! Thank you and the team for doing this. I love watching the DVC Fan videos every Monday morning. Y'all do a great job and I have learned so much from watching. The forums will no doubt help me e en more. Look forward to exploring the different posts. Hope to run into y'all in the parks one day. Thanks again.
Hi everyone! Kelly from Cleveland here. My first trip to WDW was in, you guessed it, May of ‘83. Followed by a honeymoon in 1996 (WL). We took our girls many times over the years, making them true Disney fans! We had the opportunity to spend our 40th birthdays @ BWV-loved it ! Lots of trips with just mom & a daughter or mom & both girls as they made their way thru college and undergrad. Just celebrated our commitment ceremony at the AKL JH in October 2025. I definitely spoiled my wife with the Savanna view. I have rented points from the DVC store since that 40th birthday trip. I am a DISNEY/DVC/DVC FAN addict. So glad this is here -thank you to all that created the forums 🩵
Hi everyone, my name is Paul! My family and I are DVC owners at the Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground cabins, and we’re based in Massachusetts. I’ve attached a photo of my wife and our two kids— we’re big Disney fans and make a trip to Disney every year.
A little about me—Disney has been a big part of my life for a long time. I was part of the Disney College Program back in 2001 and worked at Plaza Pavilion (now Tomorrowland Terrace).
Our kids have been going to Disney every year since they were just 6 months old, which has made for some really special family traditions. Like Amy Kreiger, my wife had never been to Walt Disney World before we met, but she quickly fell in love with it.
Some of my favorites:
Restaurants: The Boathouse and Le Cellier Steakhouse
Rides: Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and The People Mover
Snack: Dole whip pineapple upside down cake and Gideon’s chocolate chip cookies.
As a fairly new DVC member, I’ve really enjoyed watching the The DVC Fan Show and learning from this community. I truly appreciate this group and am excited to be part of it!
