Favorite bar or lounge at Disney World
I'm not sure if they serve out there, but you can definitely order a drink at the bar and then go sit outside.

Yeah... well I think with only 150 points you're kind of stuck not staying there.... right now the trading in has not been too hard for me when I've points at other resorts, needed the 7 month window.... And, while the Resort studios are easier to get into... I've been able to get a 1 or 2 BR at VGF when I want to... I
does anyone know how things are making it work now that the feature has been sunsetted? has anyone been able to secure a reservation request with DVC Member Services?
have no intention to buy this round, but am always curious to see where things go...
I think it is important to remember nearly the entire executive team will be different in 2042... DVC has changed a lot over the years... who knows what another 16 years have in store for the program!
is there room on your reservation to add their names? you can't get a pool pass for them, but if you have space in your room, they would probably be eligible in that way... even if they weren't physically in the room with you to sleep...
yes if you're that short just buy OTUP after that... member transfers are something people do you can rent a reservation (can't rent points) for the remaining nights you can book cash through Disney World website, or by calling member services which has a separate bucket of rooms available on cash you can also just buy
I think you're probably right... especially given how popular the studios are compared to other room categories... we didn't buy DVC for studios, I forget that is their bread and butter... 200 points gets you pretty far in studios... often among the community its easy to feel ike 300 points is the bare minimum and ever

I'd say Yachtsman has been good both times I've eaten there... best option we have eaten at, but have yet to try Bourbon Steak...
Best old fashioned on property are at Citricos, Enchanted Rose, and Topolinos... I love ordering outside or at the bar at Topolinos... Prefer it to the dining tables actually... Wailulu is great but I prefer it for lunch to dinner actually much calmer....
What makes it a hidden gem? Thoughts that come to mind.... Crews Cup Lounge - great way to eat without the stress of waiting for a table at Yachtsman the bar area at Riviera... Primo Piatto Satu'il Canteen
We love the Grand Floridian... We started resale 2023... and we were hunting for more points 2023... we thought resale... then the direct deal came out which made it better to buy direct than from the marketplace... Then as we came to understand the points charts more, we added on a small direct add on once you could b
Another part of this picture is just how quickly DVC direct prices go up… Looking at that, our DVC Direct purchase a little less than 3 years ago was around $24,500 after incentives and Magical Beginnings for 150 points. Today, a direct DVC Purchase for 150 points would run about $31,383 on 150 points points with curre
Some people pay cash Some finance - probably many more than pay cash is my understanding Some people will use the Disney Visa to get 6 months no interest and pay it off over essentially 9 months (you used to be be able to make payments over 90 days) Additionally, you can do a balance transfer after the promotional fina
Lounges are nice When we bought, we knew we wanted to buy where we wanted to stay, which was VGF Incentives with direct made it within say $10/pt of resale… generously… it was arguably cheaper to buy direct at that time than resale because closing cost were cheaper, you could pay prorated dues, etc. etc. The current in
How good is the CM discount? How much do you have to work there weekly to get it? How long do you have to be an employee to be eligible? Maybe get a part time job, buy DVC points and high tail it out of there? Related note - is there a former employee discount?
It started at 0 points for direct benefits, and they kept moving it up and up and up... They have stopped at 150... and many have guessed they will move it to 175 soon... that's been kind of thought about for a while, but they haven't done so yet... I agree 200 points doesn't get you what it used to... look at the OKW
And if you want larger Villa accommodations DVC also offers predictability that inventory will be there when you need it. That said, we are hybrid members in many ways... Direct and Resale... Sometimes we stay DVC, sometimes we stay Swan and Dolphin, sometimes we stay Hyatt Regency (both of them), and sometimes we stay
for us, with kids, split stays are too much work. I like @AstroBlasters idea of just getting 2 rooms for the transition day... but I am too much of a points miser, and don't have enough points to want to do that... even then, I would need a probably 10-11 night stay at a minimum to want to do it.. likely would be alter
