Annual Dues and UY

Most people like to think of Annual Dues running on a Calendar Year Basis so if the points touch the calendar year, you pay points. Best example of this is December. If the contract comes with December 26 UY points, you likely will pay Annual Dues for ALL of 2026. If that contract comes with 2025 Points as well as 2026

Not an Owner and Confused

on the most basic level... If you buy Riviera, Cabins, or Disneyland Hotel resale you can only use your points at that one resort. Riviera points at Riviera for example.. If you buy any of the other resorts, you can exchange them amongst each other - but you cannot use them to stay at Riviera, Cabins, or Disneyland Hot

DVC Educators: Tricks, Tastes, and Trips!

one trick is, if you can handle the heat go in Summer... It will be the least crowded of those times... go early in the morning, go back to the resort for some pool time in the afternoon, and then go back out at night use the extended evening hours and the early mornings.... Spring Break - check to see your week and ho

The Membership Magic Beyond Option

including the equivalent of the PhotoPass and/or Sports/Waterpark Add ons from the AP would be huge... A discount on the sorcerer pass would be amazing or more competitive 5 day ticket deals... a select number of promo codes/coupons/passes for quick service restaurants each year - say 5 20% off QS items A Tables-in-won

Does Use Year Affect the Resale Price

Slightly maybe, but not very much… its more like if you need a matching UY you might be inclined to pay more… But int he aggregate I think it is about the same regardless… If you want Wine and Dine in October and Run Disney Marathon in January I’d say October UY is best…

On the fence about DVC resale...

Another thought… we bought direct at VGF a few months after we bought our resale VGF… The direct 150 point contract was cheaper per point than our 60 point resale contract… I don’t think I could ever buy anything more than a “top off” contract (probably no more than 40 points) direct at the current prices… at most reso

On the fence about DVC resale...

This can’t be overstated… the big resorts tend to be easy to trade into… Plus let’s wait and see it finished and see if it is truly worth the subpar transportation, find out the points charts, and better learn about the resort… My personal belief, and biggest thing in resale’s favor, is, at the moment, I do not think w

DVC Ownership Approach

We kind of did everything wrong…. Having breakfast one morning at Disney’s Vero Beach we decided to buy a resale contract… then realized that contract wasn’t enough points, so we bought more… Then there were the really great direct sale prices that summer so we bought more direct at that point… Then we sold the first r
