Do you still use a magic band?
There are sellers on Etsy that make a rubber holder for the magicband puck. It then slides on to your watch band. I use it with my samsung watch. Looks like this, although I put mine on the other side so it's easier to tap.

No. We tried it in '08 (my kids were 7 and 5 at the time so perfect age for that type of thing) and it was so mobbed. It was a dvc discounted night (first week of Dec) and it was so oversold. Just wall to wall people everywhere. We couldn't get into any shows etc. It was just so packed it left a sour taste in my mouth

I own a snowbird house in Ft. Myers and this past Feb was our first time using it and you will not want to go back to cold weather if you're from the north like us lol. Plan for 2 months. (I wish I could but my husband isn't retired yet, just works remotely)

You do not need to be there at all, just call down to bell services and have it brought up to your room when you get there. The box will have your name on it in a little sleeve on the side. Yes. I take the puck off and attach it to the strap of my galaxy watch with a little rubber thing I bought on etsy.

I think they're modeling themselves on Disney's system. They've been doing some single passes lately. I don't think I'd pay for Hagrid's personally but I'm sure a lot would.

I think people are just wishcasting that the queue is going to be better. They will start selling single ride express and it will be the same except Uni gets more money. I always stay at a premier hotel and the 3 times I've used express on Hagrids the line was never shorter than 40-45 mins.

The 11 month window hasn't opened yet, you'll be fine getting BWV when it does. Maybe not standard view as those seem to be walked year round. That's assuming your points are loaded, I'm not familiar with how long that takes.
The decision matrix/struggle of deciding direct/resale
I wasn't speaking to magical beginnings (because I didn't think of that aspect when buying and a good move for sure) , just that you are entitled to current year points if you buy before the start of your use year. You can sell back or keep and bank/use!
