We checked out from a 5-day stay at Poly on Sunday. We transferred over from a 5-day at Riviera. We went into the trip thinking Poly might be our next add on. However, i experienced a couple things that have made me rethink that. Upon arrival (4pm) to our room, I immediately called bell services for a luggage transfer.
Agreed. We were asked for a reservation at Poly when we went in to tour the tower with our DVC guide (we were meeting her there). We didnt have a formal reservation but he let us in when i showed him the email chain with her. We were also asked for a reservation a few years ago when ride sharing to the boardwalk. Its c
Big fan of this change. As a resort guest that is. If i were a local, my opion may differ.
Yeah, this is accurate. Some, not all. We looked into buying VGF last year direct and ot was $265 pp if we bough 0 or 1000.
I loathe smart watches as i find myself ties to notifications all day. We love our magic band for tap to pay and room entry at the resorts. I do agree that they seem to be dying off but that os Disney’s fault for the lack of useful functionality with Magic Band + vs the original.
As far as lowering prices to the other resorts, in sure that is not their intent but adding supply will likely have its normal impact certain times of the year. If anything, it will increase availability and allow more people to stay onsite during those high demand times. But in slower seasons, yes- more rooms can affe
They always keep a certain ampunt kf point on “sold out resorts” but you ill pay a premium and be eligible for no incentives. For example, we really wanted to buy GF but it woukd have been $265 per poibt last year. Instead, we bought Riviera at roughly $204 per point with incentives.
Man, what a plot twist. Im sorry how this going for you but i know you will get that contract you want soon!
solid change. A 3BR villa is a once in a lifetime booking for alot of folks- we shoukd definitely get a layout choice. Love when DVC does things for the good!
This was easily one if my favorite threads to read through! My must do’s are below: Movies under the stars are big for us as well. We have been doing 10 day trips and have to get this in at least once Split stays- staying 10 days in one resort can get old. We love split stays and doing part of the trip at a skyliner re
The Village Green at BWV is unmatched! We like the one at the Grand also. Super chill vibes and we get to stop and watch MK fireworks as well! Also like the lawn at Riviera because the night vibes there are super chill as well.
this was a very snart move since you wanted to take the AKV route. Great suggestion from @airjay75! Best of luck with the ROFR process. Our BWV resale contract passed pretty quickly back in January- it took forever for DVC to load the points though. Apparently someone on their end missed the email contianing our finali
Listening to this week’s show, it kade me think of this thread and where you’re at with your purchase being just a few days out. Any major changes or updates?
My thoughts is that ots the renters. Im aure its a mix of both but id like to think as owners, we would treat ot as good if bot better than our homes!
Yes, you get to buy the sorcerers pass at the same price Florida residents do. Its on the dvc page and in several articles written about direct benfits. Check out this article on DVC fan which outlines it:https://dvcfan.com/dvc-discounts/a-guide-to-dvc-membership-levels-and-benefits/
This is where resale value would come jnto play for me. I onow that no one olans on selling when making their first dvc purchse, but it happens. $170-180 per point at Poly or $120-140 at AKL? Anither thing to kick around is if you want access to AKL club level or value studios. If you own at AKL, you at least have a ve
We are from Ohio and like to venture down at least 3 times oer year. Having an AP also makes it to where my wife and I are able to take spontaneous 1-2 day trios withiut the kids. We buy the sorcerer pass with the DVC discount. It was ine of the biggest reasons we went direct, knowing the AP was so inportant to us. We
