BoardWalk Villas Owners Thread

BWV is still my favorite, and I'm counting down the days until I get another view like this!

Boardwalk had aways been a favorite DVC of ours and dreamt of owning there. Finally after moving down in 2024 . we were able to make the dream a reality and add on resale points there. We like to visit BW even we arent staying there. We did do 3 nights in Nov towards the end of the F & W Fest perfect time to go. We were hoping for Christmas this year but I am out of points until 10/1, lol

Love the Boardwalk! Headed for a quick one nighter tomorrow for Flower and Garden, Amanda's favorite festival!

My Boardwalk will return to it's former glory soon I can feel it! Announcements are coming for Big River, Jellyrolls, art gallery, etc...once those are announced (including a SPORTS BAR, cough cough) that part of the Boardwalk will be better than ever!

Derek, we desperately need a sports bar on the Boardwalk! Positive vibes we hear announcements about what is coming , soon

It's easy. Jellyrolls becomes a sports bar, Big River becomes a casual burger & beer type place and Atlantic Dance becomes an all day & night quick service. Done.

@DVCDerek I agree with you completely. So if its so easy for you and i to figure that out. hpow come its taking Disney so long? lol

I’d like to see the Art Gallery become a quick service. Close to both Inn and Villas. I want my Mickey Waffles! They could expand it into the store like Beach Club.

I'd love a good quick service there--and I'm with you on the Mickey waffles! I usually end up going around the lake to the Beach Club for Mickey waffles when I'm at BWV.

Boardwalk was our first home resort, since 2006 - still our favorite place to stay! Although, i'm totally with you @DVCDerek ...they need to spruce things up over there! looking forward to a restoration to former glory!

BWV was our original resort back in 1996. It has lost a lot of its past glory. Back in those days it was a destination. People would come to visit ESPN, Jellyroles, etc and not stay at the resort. I think it competed a bit with DownTown Disney OOPS Disney Springs. They had Pleasure Island back then at DS, but you needed a ticket to enter, So BW was a great place to go for night life. A QS and a new Sports Bar would help. They still have entertainment at night with jugglers, etc on the boardwalk, but the vibe is just not as it was.

Still Love the Lobby, and the CS are top notch.

We now own at AKV, BLT, VDH and VGC. All are great in their own way. But BWV is our first love. I suppose you remember your first resort like your first kiss. It is just something special.

A year after buying our main contract at BLT for family trips, my husband and I bought a small “honeymoon” contract at Boardwalk. Here’s to 10 years of Boardwalk honeymoons!🥂

Boardwalk is simply vibrant & electrifying. It’s the place where you just don’t want the fun to end and it doesn’t. Energy abounds everywhere in all directions. That’s why they have the long hallways - because we are the only ones that can handle it! And don’t hate me bc I like the cake bake shop. shhhhh. I will end with the fact that our point charts are soooo good and always thought our contracts should be valued as twice as much because of it.

Precisely why we found it too much of a muchness and escaped to BCV.

Yes, BWV is lovely since the refurb, and we did stay briefly in a cozy 1br. It surely does have a boardwalk atmosphere that many enjoy immensely. (I actually LIKE those infamous nanny chairs.)

We DVCers can all rejoice that if you follow your dream, you may buy wrong and then sell it to fulfill that dream. Diff’rent strokes, indeed!

Came to Disney for the first time in 2021. It was a big family trip and we stayed at the BoardWalk Villas. What a way to start our love for Disney! Ever since, our dream was to become DVC members and own at the BoardWalk. In December of last year, we made that dream a reality. So excited to enjoy this resort for years to come! 🎡🎪

We also are BWV owners! Love the location and views! We need a real full qs spot!!! the food is lacking.

We have been DVC owners since 2008 (AK), but my love of DVC resorts grew once we bought our Boardwalk resale contract in 2023!

The location is fantastic as we love the ability to take a short walk to Epcot or a Skyliner ride to Hollywood Studios. Love the refurbished rooms and the main pool!!

My Disney fandom began with my first trip on my honeymoon 25 years ago, and now DVC enables us to travel with our toddler grandson!!

In an alternate timeline Boardwalk owners have already gotten an offer to extend their contracts 😭

If not I'm riding our BWV points into the sunset! @DVCDerek can tell you what a mess OKW was when they offered an extension. I dont think they will do that. Unfortunately.

Yes they were very clear that they do not plan on extending, we will hold on to our contract until the very end and squeeze every bit of enjoyment out of it that we can

Completely agree with you. The small grab & go off the lobby is very limited, both in offerings & operating hours.

Favourite location and love the resort itself. Quirky and not overrun with non resident guests which gives it a calmer feel (compared to Poly and VGF for example at times).

• We had the chance to stay at The Boardwalk the first week it opened back in 1996 and fell in love with it instantly. We didn’t buy into it until a couple years ago but it’s still our favorite resort to stay at when visiting WDW! we love the quiet pool and the beautiful lobby. It truly is a gem of the WDW resorts!

We purchased our Boardwalk contract in July 2020, smack dab in the pandemic and because of that, got an incredible price. We ow at 3 resorts and this one has to be my favorite because it is just so convenient for us. Epcot is our most visited park, so you can see why.

Love, love, love BWV. The location is perfect and nothing beats the sights and sounds of the boardwalk. I miss it when we skip it for a few trips. Heading back next month, can't wait.
