Boulder Ridge Villas Thread

We own at BRV! Our next stay there is for 8 days in December 2026. I'm super excited to stay there at the time the resort really shines!! 🎄Even when we don't stay at BRV, we always swing by for a meal at Whispering Canyon-- my husband's favorite place. Those all you can eat skillets are his only request for vacation

On the fence about DVC resale...

Unfortunately I don't see that happening at all. Being a BRV owner, I love those low point charts, but LSL looks to have features over and above the Wilderness Lodge resorts so I expect the points to reflect that. Additionally, it's a new build so the points will likely reflect that. BRV was built long ago and CCV was

Annual Passes or No?

That is exactly our plan. We are new AP holders. Staying this mid-May, then in December, then in April. Then will take a rest until probably December again and buy a new pass for that to start the cycle again.

DVC Empty Nesters

We are soon to be empty nesters! Our 23 year old youngest is hoping to move out later this year once they save up some more money for their launch into the real world. We don't travel with our adult kids so it's just my husband and I enjoying the vacations together. I will miss having my youngest at home to be our dog

AddOn-Itis - how do you know when?

I'm considering a couple of options for my next contract and it's either a small Poly add-on to give me another day there or a small VDH contract to give me some West Coast points. At this time, I'd be okay buying resale for those, even for the limited VDH. However the prices are a bit too high for resale so it almost

The Membership Magic Beyond Option

I'd be happy enough if it was Photopass for the whole year instead of just 30 days. But if we are blue skying it, I'd want them to give one Lightning Lane Single Pass per day per guest--- but that is never going to happen. So, how about a 25% discount on Lightning Lane Multi-pass?

Wilderness Lodge/Boulder Ridge

Like others said, sometimes I'm emailed with a Welcome Home and other times not and I just find the reservation on my dashboard. I'd recommend checking availability frequently during the end of April until mid May because that is when the 7th month mark hits for a December 4th reservation. If a Boulder Ridge owner curr

Long Flight Club

I've done a few redeye flights from the West Coast to Disney and we've decided to never again do that. I remember one year falling asleep in the quick service as I was trying to eat breakfast. Everyone was grumpy that day until we got our room and a nap. If you are the type of person that can sleep on the plane or are

Flash Sale vs Other Incentives

I'm not sure... with the refurb getting good reviews, I'm wondering if they need to put incentives on AKL. It might be available but not at a fire sale low price. I've said before that I'm disinterested in staying there, but the refurb has changed my mind. I'm hoping to stay there next year.

On the fence about DVC resale...

If you think you will want to stay at LSL in the future- or Riviera or VDH or CFW-- then direct becomes very compelling. I have both resale and direct. One of my biggest reasons for purchasing direct was to have the option to stay at any resort. However, that said, there are so many awesome resorts to stay at if you pu

Long Flight Club

We are in Oregon, a 6 hour flight to WDW if I'm able to get a nonstop flight, and 8ish hours if we have a layover. I typically spring for the nonstop flights on Alaska Air even though they are much higher priced. We try to get to WDW twice a year and tend to spend 7-8 days there at a time. Disneyland is closer for us a

Ideas for What's Next?

This isn't a new idea, but I'd love for them to take Tomorrowland Speedway and change it into a Wreck-It Ralph race ride. As for Hollywood Studios, I'd like a dark ride featuring Fantasia with minor drops/thrills. Intensity like Pirates, for example.

Polynesian Villas Owners Thread

We just recently purchased our Poly contract! I'm super excited to stay in the Island Tower in just about a month for our first stay as owners. We've previously stayed in the longhouses. Our contract is a Week 49 Favorite Week as I love to be at WDW in December. So happy to have many happy years ahead staying here!

DVC Ownership Approach

We currently own at BRV and Poly with enough points to do two week long vacations each year plus a little left over. My Poly contract is a favorite week in December (thanks Carrie for mentioning about it on a DVCFan episode- it really opened my eyes to FW). We won't be using our favorite week for a couple of years, but

Welcome to DVC Fan Forums!

Hello! Excited to have this new forum! I'm Julie. I live on the West Coast but our favorite parks are in WDW so we own at Boulder Ridge and Polynesian. As a kid I grew up in Southern CA, so absolutely love Disneyland too but we don't go there as often.
